Note: Students currently enrolled in the Part-Time Hifdh Program
have the option to
do both Summer Camp and Part-Time or pause Part-Time and resume in August.
Overview: At this time, our Full Time Islamic Studies and Arabic
Courses are only
available to our Full Time Hifdh students as enrichment courses. Throughout the
Year, we host lectures
on specific Islamic Studies and Arabic topics for community members to attend.
Islamic Studies: Our Third to Twelfth Graders participate in
Islamic Studies, which
teaches them history, culture, Seerah, Aqeedah, and Fiqh, gradually increasing
rigour and deepening
understanding of foundational concepts as they progress through our program. We use
An-Nasihah
Publications' Islamic Studies workbooks as guides.
Arabic: Our Third to Twelfth Graders learn Arabic to form a better
understanding of
the Qur'an, which they actively memorize and reflect upon daily. By applying
multiple second-language
acquisition models, our students can learn the language in which the words of Allah
(SWT) are written.
An Ijazah is a formal certification granted to individuals who have
demonstrated
their mastery of the Quranic text and related sciences. Our process of obtaining an
Ijazah is open to
current Hafidhs (people who have memorized the Qur'an) who have a mid-level mastery
in Tajweed and the
concepts within the Qur'an, are disciplined, and ready to commit to learning and
mastering the Qur'an.
They will be tested by a Sh. Mamdouh Mahmoud, with the help of Haifh Hamzah Ghia and
Sh. Affan Ahmad.
